It is hard to believe that an idea from the children's ministry committee to encourage children to reach out in kindness to others through something they love to do - RUN - continues to this day! A decade later, the children and members of Reid Memorial continue to touch the lives of so many folks through Reid on the Run. From the very first race for childhood cancer to 2020's race for Cystic Fibrosis, this family friendly race has raised just over $200,000 total for nine different organizations and/or causes.

Although the children's ministry committee is proud of the financial success of Reid on the Run and the help it provides, the most important aspect of the run is the unity it has created between our congregation and the community. Reid on the Run has brought our congregation and community together to support the people we love and help those with similar struggles. In addition, this race led by our children has created an opportunity for inter-generational fellowship. Just take a look at a few of the pictures from races over the years. You will see young and old together participating in a variety of ways as they are able with smiles of joy and love for each other.

We can not think of a better way to spend a chilly Saturday morning every February. The children's ministry committee encourages you to mark your calendar for our next Reid on the Run, Saturday, February 4, 2023.
